Centerfield announced the availability of two new services and a free tool for customers interested in DB2 Web Query for System i.

The first new service helps System i users import Query/400 reports into the DB2 Web Query environment. Users can leverage existing reports to take advantage of stop lighting, drill through, and a one-step export to Microsoft Excel. Simultaneous users can run queries from a green screen or modern interface using the same query. The second new service helps System i users take advantage of the SQL Query Engine while enjoying DB2 Web Query benefits such as report portal creation, multi-level reports, advanced graphics, and fully parameterized reporting.

Centerfield has also made a free tool available for System i customers who question which software and PTFs they need to install in order to have a functioning version of DB2 Web Query. The tool reports on base operating system options, licensed program products, group fix packs, and individual PTFs. For shops that already have DB2 Web Query installed, it will reveal missing, helpful PTFs.
