Krengel Technology has released DB2 Web Service Enabler (DB2WSE), a program that runs on the IBM i (AS/400, iSeries, System i) and lets external applications not residing on IBM i to access files on IBM i. In other words, Krengel Technology explains, DB2WSE enables true platform independent communication via XML between a business running on the IBM i and their business partners who do not.
