Linoma Software Audit Tool Finds Unencrypted Data on IBM i

A new audit tool from Linoma Software called Find Database Fields (FNDDBFLD) helps IBM i administrators locate sensitive data on IBM i systems for encryption. The tool, which is free, locates database fields (in physical files and tables) containing values that meet search criteria. For example, you can perform a search for numeric fields that contain a 16-digit number (i.e., credit card numbers) or perform a search for alpha fields that contain a numeric pattern like 999-99-9999 or 999999999 (i.e., Social Security numbers or Canadian Social Insurance numbers).
