IBM Software Assembly Toolkit V3.2 creates deployment packages for software solutions built on IBM middleware. It supports IBM i versions 5.4 and 6.1. It lets customers deploy solutions faster, turn setup instructions into a brochure instead of a book, and reduce errors by eliminating manual steps and enabling non-IT personnel to deploy software solutions. It provides an Eclipse-based, integrated development environment; a single, intuitive solution deployment wizard; assembly wizards to integrate business applications; and an online catalog of prebuilt deployment accelerators for many IBM software products. In addition, IBM Software Assembly Toolkit provides a natural migration path for IBM Express Runtime customers either as a stand-alone product or as part of the IBM Express Runtime V3.2 product bundle that is part of this announcement.
