Prism Microsystems introduces EventLogReporter (ELR). ELR is an optional, dedicated Web console that generates and manages reports from event-log data collected by Prism's EventTracker console. Configurable to run on the System i, ELR lets users perform detailed log analyses and generate both scheduled and on-demand reports independent of the realtime EventTracker. A Windows DFS service replicates highly compressed event data from the EventTracker to the ELR server. ELR can provide secure access via a secure Web browser and can separate the reporting/analysis functions from realtime and policy-definition functions.
