RDi 60-Day Trial Available

Article ID: 56658

IBM is offering a 60-day free trial of RDi, the new generation of editing and development tools for System i development. I think this is pretty cool, because it means you can download RDi and give it a try before deciding whether you want to pay for it. To learn more and download your copy, go to IBM's website at the following link:

RDi is IBM's replacement for WDSc and PDM. IBM promises that this new tool runs faster than WDSc and requires fewer resources from your PC. With V6R1, IBM has completely restructured the way that the development tools for the System i are packaged. One of the results of this restructuring is that RDi is now a separate charge from the compilers (unlike WDSC, which was included with the compilers). The change has many other ramifications.
