Satyam Computer Services, Ltd., and Bsafe Information Systems have formed a partnership under which Satyam will provide managed security solutions based on the Bsafe/Enterprise Security product suite. Bsafe/Enterprise Security is a security solution for the System i and mixed environments that combines exit-point access control, monitoring, auditing, reporting, IDS alerting, and general security management in a single product controlled through a GUI.

The combined Satyam/Bsafe offering will provide access control, cross-platform auditing, and alerting functions for networked System i, System z, and Windows and Linux servers in multiplatform environments. The offering lets global enterprises streamline their compliance-management requirements to numerous U.S. and international regulations and standards.

The combined solution provides automated logging and monitoring procedures into a single log, helps system managers identify and track areas where they are most vulnerable, and limits access to sensitive data in accordance with such standards as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Basel II, Control Objectives or Information and related Technology (COBIT), the Health Insurance Portability Act (HIPAA), and the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.
