Touchtone Corporation has released QuestView 9.0. QuestView is a database and program-generation tool for the System i that works on physical and logical files to enable inquiry, maintenance, debugging, and analysis of a DB2 database. QuestView is also a program-generation tool.

QuestView offers single and multiple record viewing, search and replace, key field or RRN positioning, HEX format manipulation, undelete, database relations matrix, JD Edwards Data Dictionary support, Unicode, date/time, and variable-length field handling.

Version 9.0 includes a new graphical user interface (GUI) module and an Eclipse-based plug-in for IBM Rational Developer or WebSphere Development Studio users. Users can access several systems and open multiple database files simultaneously within the same IDE session. This new module is also available as a stand-alone desktop application.
