IBM i 6.1 One-core Power Express editions (6721 and 6725) now come equipped with an enhanced IBM Rational Developer for i SOA Construction V7.1 instead of IBM Rational Developer for i V7.1. With IBM Rational Developer for SOA Construction comes an Eclipse-based integrated development environment for creating web and traditional i applications and IBM Rational Business Developer V7.1. Other features that have been added to the IBM Rational development software include ILE compilers (for RPG, Cobol, C, and more), Heritage compilers, and an application development toolset.
