I just got back from an eventful week at the RPG & DB2 Summit conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota. While I was there, I made videos of the conference, and I've put them online for anyone interested.

The keynote address was given by Ian Jarman of IBM. Mr. Jarman discussed the value of the i+p merger at IBM, as well as what's coming in hardware. He also gave a sneak preview of IBM i 7.1 features and a brief synopsis of the new RPG Open I/O support.

With the recent doom & gloom, it was great to see this conference return strong. Attendance was very good considering the economic situation, and the attendees were very pleased with the quality of the conference, as well as the facilities. Even the snow outside failed to dampen people's spirits!

Without further ado, here are the videos. (If you want to skip to the Ian Jarman video, it's the one with the red border.)

You can also view videos from several of the other conferences I've attended this year by visiting my YouTube channel. [2]
